DHH Racing @dhhracing 3 hLMP1 drivers ranked by top 40 fastest lap average for
#LeMans24. Topped by
@alo_oficial, and by a fair margin, so maybe he actually just is, you know, pretty awesome

. Best of the rest was
@followgustavo, some 2.4s off.

To put
@alo_oficial's achievement of topping this chart by 0.4s into perspective. In 2017, 2016, and 2015, the top driver in LMP1 would claim their position on this measure by less than a tenth. Pretty remarkable to be that far ahead!
Even MORE remarkable is that
@alo_oficial didn't even drive happy hour!! He got out of the car around 4am and back in at 9:30am or so (and race was under yellow then). Just incredible pace.
Perhaps the most troubling conclusion from his remarkable pace is what an utter waste it's been to trap him in a car that's been nowhere for 4 years running with McLaren. Even being paid what he is, I can't help but think the regrets must be big.
